About Selectronic

Founded in 1964 by the Scott family, Selectronic Australia began as a manufacturer of custom transformers and inductors for the local electronics industry. By 1981, the company expanded into power electronics, developing high-quality power conversion products for the emerging renewable energy market.

In 1984, Selectronic released its first inverter — a 360 W DC to AC modified square wave model. A decade later, in 1994, Selectronic introduced one of the world’s first true sine wave inverters, revolutionising off-grid power quality and setting a new standard for renewable energy systems.

Over the decades, Selectronic has grown into one of the largest off-grid inverter manufacturers in the world, driven by innovation, reliability, and a commitment to customer needs. Their inverters are designed and manufactured in Australia, delivering premium performance for both off-grid and hybrid systems.
